Magic: The Gathering celebrates 50 years of D&D with new Secret Lair drops

The next Secret Lair for Magic: The Gathering is sure to be a critical hit with fans. Starting on Aug. 27, collectors will have the chance to purchase five new Secret Lair drops created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons. The following drops will be $29.99, with foil editions of each drop also be available for $39.99 each. * An Exhibition of Adventure * Astarion’s Thirst * Karlach’s Rage * Death is in the Eyes of the Beholder I * Death is in the Eyes of the Beholder II The full list of cards featured in the upcoming Secret Lair drops is still a secret. However, it has been revealed that two of the thirstiest companions from Baldur’s Gate 3 will be making an appearance. Astarion, the semi-reluctant vampire, and Karlach, the Tiefling who’s too hot to handle will each feature prominently in their own sets alongside the other drops we can look forward to later this month. Secret Lair is Wizards of the Coast’s outlet for committed Magic: The Gathering collectors. It features ultra-rare variants of specific cards and collaborations with outside artists and IPs. Previous franchise collaborations from Secret Lair have included My Little Pony, Monty Python, Street Fighter, and more.
